You may be fitted for a temporary inlay or onlay to protect the tooth between visits. At the second visit, the temporary is removed and the new inlay or onlay is placed on the tooth with a careful inspection to ensure proper fit and alignment with the bite. The restoration is permanently bonded to the tooth and polished to finish.
